March at Strybing Arboretum in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco is all
about the Magnolias, Rhododendrons and Camellias. Did you know Strybing
has the largest collection of Magnolias outside of China? There was a lot to see on a sunny day in early March. Here are some highlights. Enjoy!
In addition to the spectacular show of magnolia and rhododendron blooms, I admired the twisted shape of Corylus avellana 'Contorta',
The colorful blooms of Berberis darwinii,
and everyday succulents like Aloe vera
the Rhododendron 'Fred Cummings' were so beautiful. the flowers were spectacular.

If rhododendrons are the King of Shrubs, then magnolias are surely the Queen of Trees! Well, the reflection is actually looking like a painting, i must say you have got good insight.
